Career
She began training taekwondo at the age of 4, looking for a place in the American Olympic team for 2016. Yount qualified for the first junior national team when she was 12 years old. She has participated in six national teams for the United States.
Yount was selected as the flag bearer in the opening ceremony before earning Olympic gold at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, as the only taekwondo representative for the United States.
She also represented the United States at the Pan American Games in 2012, winning a gold medal for her country. Yount qualified for the senior team trials of the United States by winning bronze at the Senior Nationals in 2014.
