Kentaro Oi

Kentaro Oi was appointed a junior secretary of the Senate. Soon resigned and joined the Jiyuto (Liberal) Party. He was arrested as a leader of the Korean Reform Movement (1885) and was imprisoned for six years. Again joined the Jiyuto and was elected to the House of Representative. He later joined the Kenseito Party and in his late years was devoted to social welfare work.
