Kerri graduated from Adelaide University with B.A. in 1976. He also received a diploma in education from Flinders University of South Australia in 1977.
Kerri worked a teacher in Birdwood High School, South Australia from 1978 to 1979. From 1980 to 1986 she was a diplomat in Australian Department of Foreign Affairs.
Kerri always wanted to write since earliest childhood. She is able to convey to children the magic of life on this planet, the diversity of its people and cultures, and the environment they all share. In 1998 she wrote You and Me, Murrawee.
Kerri is fond of reading, travelling, cooking and learning languages.
Kerri married in 1982 and has two children: Omar and Natasha.
