Career
Born in Birmingham, England, Brown was raised in Mississauga, Ontario, and had a successful junior career with the Belleville Bulls and Detroit Junior Red Wings of the OHL, he also played for the Fort Saskatchewan Traders of the AJHL. He was drafted 87th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1992 National Hockey League Entry Draft. A journeyman who played for the Kings, Hartford Whalers, Carolina Hurricanes and Edmonton Oilers at the National Hockey League level, Brown was never able to duplicate his junior success at the professional level, and he played in minor leagues across North America, as well as in Europe, including a spell with Manchester Storm. March 20, 1996 - Los Angeles trades Brown to Ottawa for Jaroslav Modry and an 8th round pick in the 1996 National Hockey League Entry Draft
July 1, 1996 - Ottawa trades Brown to Anaheim for Mike Maneluk
October 1, 1996 - Anaheim trades Brown to Hartford for the rights to Espen Knutsen
August 14, 1998 - Brown transferred to Carolina after Hartford franchise relocated
August 14, 1998 - Brown signs with Edmonton as a free agent
March 23, 1999 - Edmonton trades Brown to New York for Vladimir Vorobiev
March 7, 2000 - Brown signs with Edmonton as a free agent
September 10, 2000 - Brown signs with Manchester Storm as a free agent.
