Career
Haupt played major junior ice hockey in the Western Hockey League from 1994 to 1999. During those five seasons he played a total of 328 regular season games, all with the Portland Winter Hawks, setting a team record for games played which stood until the 2012-2013 season when Troy Rutkowski surpassed that mark. Haupt went on to play six seasons of professional hockey before retiring following the 2004-2005 season played with the Muskegon Fury of the United Hockey League.
