Career
In his well-travelled career, he played for Motherwell, Stenhousemuir, and Stirling in his native Scotland, before moving across the North Channel to play in the Irish League with. In 1994/95 he was named as the Ulster Football player of the Year. After these successful years, McKeown had further spells with Ayr United, Newry Town, Coleraine, Cliftonville, Brechin City, and East Fife.
