Career
McStay is regarded as one of Mayo"s greatest-ever players. He ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. At club level McStay played with Ballina Stephenites in Mayo and Ballymun Kickhams in Dublin and Roscommon Gaels in Roscommon.
In 2001 he led Mayo U21s to Connacht and Hastings cup titles and Mayo also reached the All Ireland final that year losing out narrowly to a star studded Tyrone side.
McStay is a regular analyst on The Sunday Game. On 5 October Kevin McStay became joint manager of the Roscommon senior football team alongside Fergal O Donnell.
