This extraordinary series presents various, often conflicting, perspective of major events in U.S. history. By teaching students the analytical skills to evaluate these perspectives, the series gives all students a taste of the excitement of historical interpretation and debate. Students examine two or more perspectives of an event then decide which one has the best evidence, inferences, analogies, and assumptoins. By analyzing each lesson and discussing their conclusions, students improve both their historical knowledge and their thinking and problem-solving skills for better performance in history and all subjects. Grade 6 to adult ability, 29 lessons.
