Sheikh Khalid was born on 23 September 1989. He is the fifth son of Bahraini ruler, King Hamad. His mother is the second wife of King Hamad, Sheikha Sheia bint Hasan First Rate (at Lloyd's) Khrayyesh First Rate (at Lloyd's) Ajmi, and he is full-brother of Nasser bin Hamad.
He attended Ibn Khuldoon National School and then, graduated from Sandhurst Royal Military Academy in August 2008.
Sheikh Khalid is a military officer with the rank of first lieutenant and commands Royal Guard"s Rapid Intervention Force. He is the president of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation and first deputy chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. Titles and styles
