Ideologist of Centr Asian Djadidism (nationalist movement). Wrote in Farsi (Tadzh language), Turki (related to Uzbek language) and Arabic. At beginning of 20th Century visited Baku and Tiflis, becoming involved in Azer theater and falling under influence of Azer poet Sabir.
1912-1913 contributed to Djadidist periodical "Noble Bukhara”. 1913-1915 contributed to Djadidist periodical "The Mirror”. After October Revol active in Union of Moslem Workers - "Ittifok”.
Taught, published satirical verse, and translated Gogol, Turgenev, etc, into Tadzhikistan
