Sumitomo Kichizaemon was born on February 20, 1907 Japan. He was the third son of his namesake and former president of the Sumitomo Concern.

Career
Kichizaemon Sumitomo joined the Sumitomo Concern, later becoming its president. He was also a director in many Sumitomo firms, including the Sumitomo Warehouse and Sumitomo Mining Companies. He fell under the purge directive of the Occupation Forces and resigned from his various corporate posts (1946).
