Kihachi Kiuchi exhibited a red sandalwood parquet incense burner, inlaid with silver, at first national exhibition and was recognized for the excellence of his technique. Later on carried out research in the old techniques used to manufacture articles for the Emperor's use and other miscellaneous articles treasured in Shosoin of Todaiji Temple. Revived old techniques of wood carving and allied arts.
