Education
He began studying the art of Yuzen designing from his father (1888) and also received training at the same time from the painters Bairei Kono and Seifu Takeuchi. Besides this he attended the Kyoto Painters School till 1894.
Career
His technique was cited by the government. He was specially skillful in realistic designing and familiar with the various techniques of Kyo-yuzen and much respected in Kyoto yuzen circles as a leader in the art.
