She previously played from 2008 to 2012 for Willem II and VVV-Venlo in the Eredivisie. In June 2013 van Es was among the last three players to be cut from national team coach Roger Reijners" Netherlands squad for Union of European Football Associations Women"s Euro 2013 in Sweden.
