Kim Jung-bae is an ancient historian and archaeologist, university professor emeritus, and former President of of Korea University in Seoul, South of Korea.

Career
Kim currently serves as the Chairman of the Goguryeo Research Society. He was a professor in the Department of History at of Korea University from 1977-2005. Kim has received honorary degrees from Yonsei University and Waseda University.
