Education
Kim finished his study in Joongdong High School in 1970. He graduated from Hanyang University in 1976, majoring in business administration. He also took courses on public policy in of Korea University in 1999.
Kim received honorary doctorate degrees from the following institutions: Doctor of Policy from Pukyong National University (2003), Doctor of Public Administration from of Korea Maritime and Ocean University (2006) and Honorary Doctor of Political Science from Dongguk University (2015).
Career
Mr. Kim also apologized for the recent scandal called the "Sung scandal" in which the prime minister is accused of accepting bribes of 30 million KRW from Keangnam Enterprises. Mr. Kim also apologized for the recent scandal called the "black skin color joke" in which the prime minister is accused of making fun of Blacks by comparing their skin color to charcoal briquettes. But he later apologized to the Nigerian student studying at Yeungnam University, in December 18, 2015.
Mr.
Kim comes from a family of a leading pro-Japan collaborator during the occupation period of of Korea who encouraged Koreans to serve for the Japanese military while he himself did not.

Political In a recent interview, Mr. Kim says "I"m not yet qualified to be president".

He is a member of the National Assembly and the delegate of Saenuri Party.
