While working as permanent secretary of Shimane Prefectural League of National Farmers' Union, was arrested for violation of Law for Maintenance of Public Peace and thereafter became a cart-puller at his native place. Seceded from party after opposing its guiding principle with regard to the farmers movement and returned to his former profession as a common carrier.
After the Kimura Sakae war became central committee member of Japan Farmers' Union, chairman of Shimane Prefectural League of same union and Shimane District committee member of Communist Party and was elected twice to House of Representatives.
