Operated Hakujinbo Pharmaceutical Company during the Taisho Era. Produced and began selling Wakomoto, a medicine for the stomach and bowels in 1929 and established plants for its production in Manchuria, Korea, Menchiang and China. Established Nagao Kenkyujo (Nagao Research Institute), a juridical person (1940). Produced a new vermicide, Anachis (1949). Established and became president of Nagao Pharmaceutical Company (1949). Became vice-president of the newly founded Tama Seiseki Kinenkai (Society for Commemoration of the Sacred Site of Tama) (Tama, in the outskirts of Tokyo, is the site of the Mausoleum of Emperor Taisho) (1937) and later became its president (1940). Founded and became president of the juridical person, Nagao Koseikai (Nagao Welfare Society) (1940). Appointed chief director of Doshisha University and Nichi-Bei Bunka Zaidan (Japan-America Cultural Foundation). The same year founded and became chief director of Nagao Art Museum and also was appointed a trustee of Peers' School and National Museum and chief director of Nagao Research Institute.
