Kirill Semenovich Moskalenko


Kirill Moskalenko, USSR Marshal.


Moskalenko, Kirill was born on May 11, 1902 in the village of Grishino, now Donetsk Oblast’.


Studied at a military school, 1920. Graduated from the F. Dzerzhinskii Military Academy, 1939.


Joined the Soviet Army, 1920. Fought against Makhno’s forces during the Civil War, 1920-1922. An artillery commander, 1922.

During World War II, became a notable military figure. Deputy Commander of the 6th Army, and later Commander of the 38th Army. His chief was Khrushchev, and A. Epishev was his political commissar.

Headed the anti-aircraft forces of the Moscow district, 194853. Played an important role in disposing of Lavrentii Beria. Commander of the Moscow military district, 11 March 1955.

Marshal of the Soviet Union. From October 1960, Commander-in-chief of Strategic Rocket Forces. Deputy Minister of Defence.

Chief Inspector in the Ministry of Defence from 1962.


Religions encourage war and violence to promote their religious goals.


The emphasis on peaceful coexistence doesn’t mean that the Soviet Union accepted a static world with clear lines. Socialism is inevitable and the "correlations of forces" were moving towards socialism.
