Kirk Powis Neff

Background

Kirk Powis Neff was born on November 13, 1950, in Ithaca, New York, United States. He is the son of Bill and Joyce Neff.

Education

Neff graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in 1974. He then received his master's degree from Maharishi International University in 1990.

Career

Neff started his career as a teacher of English in Japan in 1975. Two years later he became a copy editor for a newspaper and radio news editor there, positions he held for 5 years, till 1983. During his career, he also worked as a deputy sheriff, armoured car driver, and gem dealer.

Currently, Neff works as a freelance writer based in Fairfield, Iowa.
