Upon graduation from Economics Department of Kyoto University transferred to Kangyo Ginko (Hypothec Bank) (1939). After successive promotions became manager of Aomori Branch and secretary (1940).
Drafted in the army (1945). Discharged after the end of the war.
Transferred to Nissan Norin Kogyo Kaisha (Agriculture & Forestry Industry Company) (1951) and became its senior managing director and then president (since 1952). Held various additional posts including that of counselor of Urawa Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
