Freshmart won the vacant WBC Youth World Minimumweight title in his professional debut on June 22, 2012, defeating Marzon Cabilla by sixth-round technincal decision. Freshmart then defeated Carlos Buitrago by twelfth-round unanimous decision to win the vacant interim WBA Minimumweight title on October 1, 2014.
