He graduated from Tokyo University (1936).
Career
In 1936 joined the Central Meteorological Observatory and became chief of its Weather Forecasting Section (1945). Was director of Japan Meteorological Society. Published "Theory of Weather Forecasting", "Meteorological Statistics" and "Long Period Forecasting". Worked on his new thesis "The Forecast on the Direction of a Typhoon".
