Kojin Shimomura was director of Taihoku (Taipeh) Higher School. He wrote essays on social problems and education. "Jiro Monogatari" is a long novel presenting his views on education and social problems. Other books include "Jinsei-o Kataru" (Talking on Life) and "New Theory of Education and Culture in Rural Areas."
