Served as private secretary to Finance Minister, administrative official of Finance Ministry, private secretary to Home Minister, administrative official of Kokumin Chochiku Shoreikyoku (National Savings Encouragement Bureau), secretary of Koain (Asia Development Board) and then as chief of various section of Finance Ministry, Munitions Ministry and Monopoly Bureau and director of Tokushu Zaimubu (Special Financial Department), chief of Planning Section of Gaishikyoku (Foreign Capital Bureau) and director of Kanrikyoku (Superintendent Bureau) of Finance Ministry. Appointed permanent Vice-Minister of Finance (1949). Retired from government service (1951) and thereafter became president of Nihon Engyo Kyokai (Japan Salt Industry Association) (since 1953).
