Kong-Bung Choo, Malaysian molecular biologist, laboratory administrator. Named Outstanding Researcher award National Science Council of Republic of China, since 1987. Member Chinese Society Molecular and Cell Biology (founding member), Tatung Aikido Club (committee member since 1994).

Background

Choo, Kong-Bung was born on September 3, 1952 in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. Arrived in Taiwan, 1981. Son of Chin-Saw and Mee-Hoong (Mok) Choo.

Bachelor of Science, Melbourne (Australia) University, 1974. Bachelor of Science with 1st class honors, Monash University, Melbourne, 1975. Doctor of Philosophy, Monash University, Melbourne, 1979.

Career

Associate professor National Yang Ming Medical College, Taipei, Taiwan, 1982-1984, adjunct professor Taiwan, since 1984. Director recombinant DNA laboratory Veterans General Hospital, since 1984, director clinical core laboratory for molecular medicine, since 1996. Adjunct professor National Taiwan University, Taipei, since 1989.
