Graduated from Higher Normal Department of Waseda University (1920).
Career
Konosuke Oishi entered Kokumin Shimbun (Newspaper) (1920) and then made inspection tours of Europe and America for one year (1920-1921). He became president of Shizuoka Minyu Shimbun (Newspaper) (1928). Merged all local newspapers in Shizuoka Prefecture and established Shizuoka Shimbun becoming its president (1941). Made his second inspection tour of Europe and America (1951). Published Nobi-yuku Kusari (The Spreading Chains) and translation of "A Guide to Newspaper Business."
