Konosuke Tamura is a Japanese visual artist. Konosuke Tamura has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art. Many works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Beach' sold at Mainichi Auction, Tokyo 'Paintings, Prints & Sculpture' in 2013.

Tamura Konosuke was born in Osaka on September 8 1903.
Education
He went to Tokyo in 1920 to study painting. Graduated from Bijutsu Kenkyujo (Fine Arts Research Institute).
Achievements
In 1926 he won a first prize at the 13th Nikaten exhibition, a less conservative exhibition than the government-sponsored Bunten.
His paintings include Maeruka-to-no Onna (The Wom n of the Maeruka Island) which was entered in the 1954 Shusaku Tenrankai (Exhibition of Great Works).
