Career
He worked for what is now Union Bank of Switzerland until 1989. He became a partner at Wegelin in 1991. Under his leadership, Wegelin & Company grew from 25 to 700 employees until its 2012–2013 restructuring and disestablishment.
He has a doctorate in law from the University of Zurich and has studied finance at the University of Rochester.
He is also a Colonel of the General Staff in the Swiss Army.
