From 1922 specialized in testing and effects of therapeutic substances in Department of Pharmacology, Moscow Chemical Pharmaceutical Research Institute. From 1932 head, Pharmacological Department, State Institute of Experimental Endocrinology. Also lectured at Chair of Pharmacology, 2nd Moscow Medical Institute.
1938, without defending a thesis, received title of professor and degree of Doctor of Medical Developed methods for biological standardization of organic drags. 1938 sponsored foundation of Commission for the State Control of Endocrine Drugs.
His monograph on the biological evaluation of medicines is still a valid manual for pharmacological laboratories and so far the sole manual on this field in Russian.
