1923-1928 worked for Telegraphic Agency of the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics. 1925-1926 Telegraphic Agency of the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics correspondent in Rome. 1928-1930 head, Paris and Geneva Telegraphic Agency of the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Bureaux.
From 1931 dipt work; deputy head, then head, Press Department, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs. 1936-1939 counsellor, then charge d’affaires, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics embassy in Washington. May 1939 appointed Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics ambassador in United States of America.
1941 returned from United States of America and appointed Collegium member, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs. From June 1943 Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics ambassador in Mexico. From June 1944 also Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics envoy to Republic of Costa Rica.
