Korenori Taira was a noted composer of Chinese poems. At the command of Emperor Uda he compiled an anthology of Chinese verses composed after 810.
He was appointed a Court Councilor (902). Compiled Engikyaku (Court Code of the Engi Era), in collaboration with Tokihira Fujiwara. Promoted to the post of vice-minister and general of the Right Imperial Guard.
