Education
Taguchi showed interest in the Chinese classics from an early age.
Career
When the family fortunes declined due to his father's long illness Koson taught pupils at his home till the Lord of Karatsu took pity upon him and appointed him as an adviser to help reform the clan's administration. He later founded a private school at Honjo, Tokyo, which soon became popular.
