Background

Kotaro was born in 1902, in Japan.

Career

Studied painting while working in Tokyo. Came into prominence when his painting was accepted for exhibition by the Central Art Exhibition Society (1919).

Achievements

Founded Reijinsha (Artists’ Group) and then Dokuritsu Bijutsu Kyokai (Independent Art Society).
