Borah began his career as a manager of Development Department at Ciba India Limited in 1962. Fourteen years later he took a position of a research associate at Boston College, where he worked until 1977. In 1977, Kripanath was appointed a group leader at William H. Rorer, Inc. Then in 1980, he became a director of pharmaceutical development at Organon Inc. Also Borah served as an associate director at Enzon, Inc from 1991 to 1992.
In 1992, he held a position of a science director at G & W Laboratories, Inc. Then in 1997, Kripanath was appointed a director of research and development at Tomer Laboratories, Inc. Since 2001 he has been a senior adviser at Pharm Ops, Inc.
Borah is a member of American Chemical Society, American Association of Pharmaceutical Science, American Association of Indian Pharmaceutical Scientists.
Kripanath Borah is married and has two children.
