Career
On 3 August 2009, she reached her best singles ranking of world number 103. On 5 October 2009, she peaked at world number 168 in the doubles rankings. Kučová"s elder sister Zuzana is also a tennis player, having retired from the professional tour in 2013.
Juniors
In addition to this, Kučová reached the 2007 Wimbledon Championships and 2007 French Open girls" doubles quarterfinals.
Both times, Kučová was seeded seventh, however, she reached the French Open quarterfinals with compatriot Klaudia Boczová, losing to eventual champions and third seeds Ksenia Milevskaya and Urszula Radwańska. She reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals along with compatriot Lenka Juríková.
The seventh-seeded Slovak pair lost to eventual runners-up Misaki Doi and Kurumi Nara. 2014
She started off the year in the qualifying for Sydney where she lost to Misaki Doi 6-4 6-3, then she lost in the first round of qualifying for the Australian Open to Paula Kania 4-6 7-5 6-2.
She lost in qualifying for Doha to Mirjana Lucic-Baroni 7-5 6-4 and also in Dubai where she lost to Flavia Pennetta 3-6 6-1 6-4.
She managed to qualify for Katowice and then beat Monica Niculescu 6-1 6-1 in the first round before losing to Alize Cornet 6-3 4-6 6-3. She lost in qualifying for the French Open to the wildcard Irina Ramialison 6-1 6-0 and in qualifying for Wimbledon to Maryna Zanevska 6-4 4-6 6-3. She reached her first Women's Tennis Association Semifinal at Bucharest by beating Anna Schmiedlova 6-3 6-3, Cristina Dinu 6-2 6-3 and Danka Kovinic 6-4 1-6 6-3 then she lost to Roberta Vinci 6-1 6-3 in the semifinals.
She lost in the second round of qualifying in Linz to Anna-Lena Friedsam 7-5 6-0 and in the first round of qualifying for Limoges to Katarzyna Piter 6-2 6-4.
2016
Kučová failed to qualify to Australian Open. She lost in the final qualifying round to Wang Yafan, despite having a match point in the second set.
After defeating Stefanie Vögele and Hsieh Su-wei, Kučová reached quarterfinals in Kuala Lumpur. In quarterfinals she lost to the second seed Elina Svitolina.
