Close associate of Ye. B. Vakhtangov; 1913 co-founder, Vakhtangov Student Drama Studio. Taught Stanislavskiy’s method.
From 1922 producer, Moscow Academy Arts Theater and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theater. Roles: llortcnse and Virginia in Matcrlinck’s “Le Miracle de Sainl-Antoine” (The Miracle of Saint Anthony). Kseniya in Zaytsev’s Usad’ba Laninykh (The Lanin Estate).
Helped produce: Bizet's “Carmen” (1924). Rachmaninoff’s “Aleko" (1926);Knippct’s Sevemyy veter (North Wind).
