IVANENKO, Ksenya was born in 1906 in Poltava.
1926 graduated Kharkov Institute of Public Education. 1928-1931 postgrad, student at Ukrainia Research Institute of Pedagogical.
Since 1924 governess, Gorky Colony for Waifs and Strays, Kharkov. 1931-1932 Head, Children’s Lit. Section, Kiev Branch, Ukrainia Research Institute of Pedagogical.
1939-1952 Deputy, Kiev City Soviet. 1945 delegation at Anti-Fascist Congress, Bulgaria. 1947-1951 Executive Editor, children's journal “Barvinok”.
Her works have been translated into Russian, Chinese, Czech, Polish and Bulgarian. Has translated into Ukrainian “Andersen’s Fairytales” and other works of children's literature. Also writes filmscripts.
