Kuldeep Singh Charak, Professor of Mathematics, University of Jammu, has done his Bachelor's degree from Degree College Bhaderwah in 1986, completed his M.SC(Maths)., M.Phil.(Maths) and Ph.D.(Maths) from University of Jammu. He has worked as Post Doc Fellow at University of Joensuu(now University of Eastern Finland) in 1997. He has visited Finland, Canada, Germany, China, and Poland in connection with collaborative research work/conferences.

Kuldeep Singh Charak was born on June 20, 1965 in Chiralla-Bhaderwah, India is son of poor parents smt.Shakuntla Devi and Shri Isher Lal Charak. After doing his Primary Education from Govt. Primary School Sunarthawa, completed his secondary education from Govt. High School Chiralla in District Doda of Jammu and Kashmir(INDIA). He did his graduation from Govt. Degree College Bhaderwah in District Doda in 1986. Since he belonged to a poor family, discontinued his studies for a year and then managed with the great support of his father joined University of Jammu for Masters in Mathematics in 1987. His father was a great visionary and was ofthe firm belief that his poverty could be removed by giving proper education/schooling to his son and Professor Charak is the outcome of his fathers vision and efforts, and professor Charak owes his success to his parents only after the blessings of God.
