Kumataro Nishida was operating a Western-style restaurant, dance hall, hotel and teahouse (from 1935) and became vice-chairman of oita Prefectural Assembly (since 1950). Holded additional post of chief director of Oita Prefectural Ice Candy Merchants' Cooperative Union.
