Career
He was a president of Niigata Ryusan Kaisha (Sulfuric Acid Manufacturing Company). Served with Daiichi Bank and Osaka Shosen Kaisha (Osaka Mercantile Marine Company - O.S.K.) and later entered Niigata Ryusan Kaisha and after successive promotions became its managing director and then president. Served also as vice-president of Niigata Chamber of Commerce & Industry and as leading member of other industrial organizations.
Elected to House of Representatives (1946). Holds various additional posts including those of president of Niigata Soy Manufacturing Company and counselor of Niigata Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
