Kunitaro Takahashi was born in 1898 Tokyo, Japan.
After graduating from Tokyo University (1923) proceeded to France for further studies. Being known also as student of French literature.
Takahashi Kunitaro was appointed member of the literature section of the Tsukiji Shdgekijo (Little Theater) (1925) and helped develop Shingeki (new-style drama).
Later became a reporter and announcer for NHK and was placed in charge of their theatrical programs (1933). Was chief of Broadcasting Station at Saigon (1944). Has translated many works of Alexander Dumas.
