Kuniyoshi Tsuchiya was born in 1831 in Mino, Gifu, Japan.
After the Meiji Restoration he was appointed head of 88 villages. To help the agricultural populace he published Yasusada Miyazaki's "Complete Agriculture" (11 vols.) and distributed copies free to the general populace (1866).
