In 1907 he graduated from Kyoto University.
Career
He worked in the South Manchuria Railway Company for two years; entered business and became president of the Dai Hyaku (The 100th) Bank and president of the Aikoku Life Insurance Company. Also served as governor of the Metropolitan High-Speed Transportation Corporation, an executive officer of the Tobu Railway Company, the Japan Air Transportation Company, the Dai Nippon Airplane Company, and Japan Air Lines (1953).
