Kurihara Takesaburo was born in 1878 in Japan.
Kurihara Takesaburo became pupil of Hirosuke Toyozawa V (1893) and adopted the stage name of Takesaburo Toyozawa the same year.
Kurihara Takesaburo was adopted by Hirosuke V (1902) and succeeded to the stage name Hirosuke VII (1928). His phonograph record "Melodies and Mode of Performing Gidayu" is recognized as a valuable contribution for students in this field.
