Takaichi-no-Kurohito was a waka poet. He was the first Manyo waka poet to write with an individual outlook, rather than a collective one. Takaichi-no-Kurohito wrote poems on travels in Omi (Shiga Prefecture), Settsu (Hyogo Prefecture), Owari (Aichi Prefecture), Etchii (Toyama Prefecture) provinces, etc.
