Career
The Knight"s Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Kurt Möhring was killed on 18 December 1944 in Befort, Luxembourg, during the Battle of the Bulge. He was posthumously promoted to Generalleutnant.
