Kurt Edmund Oughstun, American Electrical engineering and mathematics educator. Achievements include development of a uniform asymptotic description of dispersive pulse dynamics in casually dispersive media, and of a new physical description of dispersive pulse dynamics based on energy velocity and attenuation of time-harmonic fields. Recipient award Air Force Office Science Research, since 1988.
