Kyuhaku Koma was a resident of Edo (now Tokyo), the son of Kyui, the second head of Koma family. Original personal name: Yasutada and also known as Kyuzo and Yasuaki.

Career
Kyuhaku Koma served the Shogunate as "Makie-shi" (lacquer artist). He was later appointed chief craftsman to the palace at Toshogu Shrine at Nikko (1689).
