He became assistant mayor of Kanaya Village, Kodama-gun, Saitama Prefecture (1920), chairman of Sangyo Kumiai (Industrial Association) of the same village, senior managing director of Saitama Prefectural League of Industrial Associations (1941) and president of Saitama Prefectural Agricultural Association (1946). Served also as mayor of Kanaya Village. Elected twice to House of Representatives.
Holds additional posts of president of Saitama Noko Kaisha (Agricultural & Industrial Company) and councilor of Norin Chuo Kinko (Central Depository of Agriculture & Forestry) and managing director of Zenkoku Yoken Hambai Kumiai Rengokai (National League of Silkworm Culture & Sales Unions) and official of a few other sericultural organizations.
